Computer Science at Kent From LIDL to Timed Automata
نویسنده
چکیده
LIDL− is a decidable fragment of Interval Duration Logic with Located Constraints, an expressive subset of dense-time Duration Calculus. It has been claimed that, for any LIDL− formulaD, a timed automaton can be constructed which accepts the models of D. However, the proposed construction is incomplete and has not been proved effective. In this paper, we prove the effective construction of equivalent timed automata from LIDL− formulae.

Interval Duration Logic: Expressiveness and Decidability
We investigate a variant of dense-time Duration Calculus which permits model checking using timed/hybrid automata. We define a variant of the Duration Calculus, called Interval Duration Logic, (IDL), whose models are timed state sequences [1]. A subset LIDL of IDL consisting only of located time constraints is presented. As our main result, we show that the models of an LIDL formula can be capt...
متن کاملComputer Science at Kent Verification of Timed Automata with Deadlines in Uppaal
Timed Automata with Deadlines (TAD) are a form of timed automata that admit a more naturalrepresentation of urgent actions, with the additional advantage of avoiding the most common form oftimelocks. We offer a compositional translation of a practically useful subset of TAD to timed safetyautomata (the well-known variant of timed automata where time progress conditions are expre...
متن کاملComputer Science at Kent Compositional Detection of Zeno Behavior in Timed Automata with Deadlines
We present a compositional analysis to detect Zeno behavior in Timed Automata with Deadlines. A syntactic analysis is defined, based on Tripakis’ strong non-Zenoness property, which identifies all elementary cycles where Zeno behavior may occur. This analysis is complemented by TCTL reachability properties, which characterize the occurrence Zeno behavior in potentially unsafe cycles.

متن کاملUsing Interval Petri Nets and Timed Automata for Diagnosis of Discrete Event Systems (DES)
A discrete event system (DES) is a dynamic system that evolves in accordance with the abrupt occurrence, at possibly unknown irregular intervals, of physical events. Because of the special nature of these systems, different tools are currently used for their analysis, design and modeling. The main focus of this paper is the presentation of a new modeling approach of Discrete Event Systems. The ...
